One of my favorite places to have breakfast is Hell's Kitchen in Minneapolis - great food and AMAZING service!!!!! I finally tried their infamous porridge, made with wild rice and cream.....wow! I got so excited i knew i had to make it into a cookie....yes, the DeLuscious wild rice, cranberry, dried wild blueberry, pecan, white chocolate cookie. I love the texture of the wild rice and the natural sweetness of the dried fruit!

What could be more perfect for Thanksgiving.

By now you all know we do our couture dozen all month...one day of Halloween-inspired cookies just doesn't seem fair! When i think of Halloween, I imagine myself as a child walking door to door collecting my year supply of candy. My cousins and i would end the evening in our living room. Sitting on the floor, i'd dump collection in my lap and proceed to count the flavors and number of CHOCOLATE bars.

This image is what inspired me to make our snickers® brownies....they're fudgy and filled with chopped up snickers®, milk chocolate, dark chocolate and topped with more snickers®.

Summer was great madness between developing new protein cookies, selling DeLuscious bites on The Sweets Truck and partnering with Bravo to help kick off Top Chef's Just Desserts...did i mention i had the pleasure of being a guest judge on The Food Network Challenge show, which aired August 1st.

After a long absence, I'm back! Did you miss me? I missed you! Sometimes it takes a while to transition through emotional upheavals but I've made it through to the other side....so, if you've experienced personal trauma, I'm here to tell you, as trite as it sounds, there is light and hope on the other side as long as you stay positive, work hard at it and believe.

Once the block long lines grew old, conscious consumers questioned the $3 and $4 cupcake. Yet years later, it seems the cupcake won as the wallet slims and the hips widen. Another perceived loser in Battle Cupcake? The cookie. What happened to the simple pleasure found in gulping a glass of cold milk while devouring a warm chocolate chip cookie? And I am not talking about microwaved Chips Ahoy.
 

It's hot and Summer is here with a vengence in LA, getting even for that mild June. I don't know about you, but my cravings for fruit go through the roof when it's hot. Which lead me to conclude that it's time to bring back our fruit-filled cookies: banana mango coconut, chocolate white chocolate raspberry, wild blueberry lemon white chocolate and banana walnut.

For those of you who have not heard of LA's BEST, it's an amazing afterschool program which targets the most in-need elementary schools in the LA Unified School District.

Friday, we had the pleasure of baking cookies that were to be decorated by 160 children at Fair Avenue Elementary. Their smiling faces covered in blue, green and pink frostiing was enough to light up anyone's day!
