I think I'm going to have a heart attack - 6 months till Christmas and 3 months till Yom Kippur, which translates into no more coffee until January 2010....a very sad fact, but a joyful one for my staff. I'm pretty insane on caffeine.

So, this month, it's all about red, white and blue. And, because everyone is obsessed with red velvet, we're bringing back our red velvet 'n cream with a blue marzipan star on top.

Our July special dozen will include 1 red, 1 white 1 blue sparkling sugar cookie, 3 red velvet 'n creams, 3 tart cherry dark chocolate macadamia nut and 3 of our chocolate chip. The price, $45/dozen.

Look for a variety of fruit cookies in August and a couple of weeks of our apricot marzipan dark chocolate cookie this month (must stash a few of these for Carla Gugino because they're her favorites!). I only make these once a year when my apricot tree bears fruit. This year unfortunately, the birds enjoyed the majority of the apricots.
