How long have you been at DeLuscious and what is your job description?

This will be my sixth Christmas with DeLuscious. It's a feat that some say they could never accomplish. Christmas is slam packed with crazy orders, fast paced work and long hours. There is nothing more satisfying than an accomplished Christmas at DeLuscious Cookies. Everyday, my job is to make L.A.'s best cookies, which means I am a freakin' Keebler Elf for Hollywood's finest.

What is your favorite thing about your position?

The most important part of my job is making people smile. It is sappy and cheesy to say, but I could do this everyday for the rest of my life. Each day I know that I make someone smile from a delectable treat which I created. It's food artistry.

What is your favorite thing about DeLuscious?

My favorite thing about DeLuscious is that it I have the potential to be a part of an industry which fuels humanity, i.e. the entertainment industry. I am not an aspiring actor or producer, but I like knowing that there is something more than the glamour in front of the Limelight that makes up one big money making machine :).

Did you go to school? For what? How has it helped you with your job at DeLuscious?

I studied to be a Pastry Chef at the C.S.C.A Le Cordon Bleu in Pasadena. This was when they only offered a certification instead of a degree, so I am only certified *whoop*. The real heart of any chef is their connection with the kitchen, no matter where they are. I’m not gonna lie, I kick butt at making pastries and baked goods, and I learned a lot of my patience, diligence and skill at DeLuscious. When your boss is a neurotic baked goods whiz, you must be the best you can be, simply to stand your own ground.

Describe your typical lunch.

I am a big advocate for supporting local businesses, which means I eat from the same 7 restaurants, on a cycle of 10 days, paying $10 a pop for each meal. Thanks, Hollywood lunch hour!!

If you could go on vacation to anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

Honestly, if I won some kind of game where I could choose a vacation destination, it would be Egypt. I have always had a fascination with the ancient culture and architecture. The ties between the old world and the new world, and our relevance in this universe.... I could also easily spend it sitting at a Black Jack table in Las Vegas. You win some, you lose some.

Anything else you would like to share about yourself?

I work hard, play hard and live hard. Easy to say at 24, so I will stick with my guns and go out with a bang! BOOOM!!
